On June 10 we hit a record of 10 staff being with us for 10 years – alongside our Managing Director, Geoff Hunt. That’s pretty special and we’re very lucky to have such loyal human beings working for us. We thought you might like to know a little about what they do and what makes them tick.

GEOFF HUNT
CO-FOUNDER + PRODUCT MANAGER

Geoff is our captain and who is responsible for dreaming up Momento, our new products and processes. He can be found strategising, coding, printing and searching for chocolate.

What do you do at Momento?
I steer the good ship Momento and I love the team we have assembled

Inventing things

First music you bought?
I snuck out of basketball practice at school to buy Back in Black by AC/DC

Haloumi cheese

First pet’s name?
Snowy the fox terrier

Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
There aren’t many countries I wouldn’t like to visit. Iceland is next on the list.

JAMES WHITWELL
CO-FOUNDER + CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

James, Geoff and Libby worked together 20 years ago in the early days of interactive CD-ROMs. He has a very large brain that makes our software excellent and our network safe.

What do you do at Momento?
I look after all the technical things (IT and programming)

LIBBY JEFFERY
CO-FOUNDER + MARKETING MANAGER
Libby enjoys meeting our customers and suppliers and sometimes hugs them too early in the piece! She is so committed to Momento that she talks to customers in her sleep.

What do you do at Momento?
Write all the communications, coordinate events, get to know the photo book publishing network and run the Photobook Of the Year Awards

Favourite thing in life?
The feel of sun streaming right through you, and being immersed in a visually stunning film or historical novel

First music you bought?

Fave food?
Cheese and crackers, especially when teamed with red wine!

WEBSITE TEAM LEADER

We have never seen Marbeen without a smile on his face in the whole 2,600 days he has worked for us. He is the kind of employee you want with you to bottle or duplicate.

Web developer, and I enjoy building new things

Joe is our quietest biggest achiever. He keeps slightly different work hours but his output is extreme, as is his ability to deal with complex technical issues.

I am C++ software developer and write the code for Momento’s software

Eduardo came to work for us after Geoff’s mum drove him down the W.A. coast. He loves memes, flashing lights and handles paper like it’s the most precious object on earth.

Jessica is a working-mum-superwoman with an immense capacity to problem solve multiple issues at the same time, and at lightning speed.  No wonder she wants a nap!

NZ CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

Jax is our employee of the decade in New Zealand. She makes every customer feel like they’re number one rather than just another number. She also likes a wee chat!

What do you do at Momento?
I love helping people make beautiful books, and in the process I get to make lovely connections. I feel privileged to be a small part of preserving their special memories.

Favourite thing in life?
Aside from the obligatory answer – I have an awesome family – I’m mad keen on my two canine fur babies, Molly and Bella. I also love taking photos, driving everyone who knows me crazy, with my constant ‘recording of memories’.

First music you bought?
Leif Garrett by Leif Garrett. I was in love with him but he couldn’t really sing.

Fave food?
Blue cheese quince paste and crackers, liquorice, mango … not all at once though.
