Respected photographer Greg Sullavan explains his journey from photography enthusiast to photography educator to photo book creator. He offers tips on preparing files and using Momento Pro’s software to preserve his Norfolk Island series in a photo book.

How to create a photographic legacy

This post is for dedicated photographers who’ve taken thousands of photos over the last few years or decades. Australian wildlife photographer, Darran Leal explains how he created the ultimate photo book that celebrates his photography career.

Darran Leal is a wild life and wild places photographer who runs the second oldest photo tour company in the world. Recently we printed his ‘photographic legacy’ book titled Wild Visions, so we’ve asked him to provide some guidelines for anyone else wanting to create a portfolio or photo book of your images that span years and possibly decades.

APS Photobook Competition winners 2021

Now in its sixth year, the Australian Photographic Society’s (APS) annual Photo Book Awards 2021 attracted a total of 20 entries. While the number of submissions was down on last year (impacted by the extended lockdowns in Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory) the quality of entries was once again very high. Congratulations to the six winners across the Storytelling and Portfolio categories, whose books are outlined below and offer plenty of food for thought for your next creation.
