This post is for dedicated photographers who’ve taken thousands of photos over the last few years or decades. Australian wildlife photographer, Darran Leal explains how he created the ultimate photo book that celebrates his photography career.

Darran Leal is a wild life and wild places photographer who runs the second oldest photo tour company in the world. Recently we printed his ‘photographic legacy’ book titled Wild Visions, so we’ve asked him to provide some guidelines for anyone else wanting to create a portfolio or photo book of your images that span years and possibly decades.

Epic photographic legacy: ‘Nam Contact’ by Tim Page

British war photographer Tim Page has created a mammoth printed legacy of his black-and-white images from the Vietnam War in a limited edition book, box and print set, proudly printed by Momento Pro.

Momento Pro was honoured to produce this custom collector’s edition book and box set for British war photojournalist Tim Page. Nam Contact is an epic retrospective of his unseen black-and-white Vietnam War pictures encompassing an oversized 448-page book, a reproduction of a 1966 Kodak flexographic box with an insert for a loupe, and an embossed folio case for a signed and numbered print. ‘Souvenirs of Sleep’ by Ling Ang

Momento Pro recently produced a custom format limited edition photo book for film maker Ling Ang. In this interview we ask her and designer Ned Rahmanovic about their creative collaboration, innovative book design and their choices on the photo book’s format and materials.

Singaporean born, Melbourne-based filmmaker, Ling Ang, has been journaling her dreams for years, and her upcoming photo book Souvenirs of Sleep is where she reveals them. Her limited edition book produced by Momento Pro weaves together photographs captured from her conscious world to illustrate the narratives of her subconscious mind. Here we interview Ling and designer Ned Rahmanovic about the book’s origins and playful design, and take you behind-the-scenes of its production.
